Limited Edition of 25 . Taken from the N.M.E. album review illustration of a Bob Dylan compilation called The Bootleg Series Volumes 1–3 (Rare & Unreleased) 1961–1991.

The album was reviewed in April 1991, and is one of the earliest illustrations in the book End Of A Century . A striking and highly original monochrome drawing and collage of Bob Dylan as an oak tree, playing his guitar. Sadly Run isn’t here to tell us more about the man in the suit with a microphone but if you can decipher this element, please feel free to comment! What makes this illustration so unique is the amount of hand drawing, making for a very personal and elegant portrait of this fine artist and poet. The print is large and is one of the most beautiful pieces in the entire collection of illustrations.

The album itself contains rarities and unreleased works from the sessions for 1962’s eponymous debut Bob Dylan to 1989’s Oh Mercy. Of the 58 total tracks, 45 are session outtakes from recording sessions for Dylan studio albums. Of the remaining 13 tracks, one is an outtake from the session for the “George Jackson” single of 1971, two are further releases from the Basement Tape sessions of 1967, five are live recordings, and five are demo records, three of latter being later
