Small limited edition print run of 25. Taken from the N.M.E. album review for The Flaming Lips album Zaireeka, from October 1997. The illustration is perfectly reproduced and printed on to thick archival quality paper. 1st edition still available as a framed print. 

This is the first illustration in Run’s book End Of A Century , and therefore first illustration he did for the N.M.E at the start of the 90’s! In Black and white, it is a surreal dada-esque collage of xeroxed vintage imagery, a man with a cuckoo head, holding a guitar and floating in an ancient greek landscape.

Cloudcuckooland was the debut album by the British musical project The Lightning Seeds.  “Pure” was the debut UK hit for The Lightning Seeds and the band’s only Top 40 hit in the USA. The book End of A Century publishes the original brief that Run received from the N.M.E’s, with quite an enlightening description of the band!
